This new office building is successfully integrated into an historic square by reintroducing the original plot-widths and employing traditional materials.

The building also has its own modern integrity, employing Portland stone, stock bricks and metal work in a fresh and unmistakeably contemporary manner.

The tri-partite façade, based on the original building plots, frames the middle entrance bay. Strong horizontal corners define the pre-cast Portland stone façade but reflect the vertical hierarchy of the traditional buildings in the square.
