The site sits at a lower level to the surrounding land and has a mature screen of trees on its fringe. The Phase 1 brief for 4 mid-sized B2/B8 units (1,900 – 3,500 m™) combined with other site constraints to suggest that a front loaded terrace scheme would be appropriate, with double storey office blocks and loading areas located on the building frontages. A combination of crisply detailed silver flat panel cladding and glazing to warehouse and office areas, and profiled panels defining loading areas, was capped with a unifying horizontal band of colour, helping to deliver a calm solution to a potentially complex composition.
