The site is located on two separate pieces of land that were part of the Royal Navy Dockyard in Chatham.
The design places the residential element on the larger site, with two fingers of apartments rising towards the north, maximising views over the basin. Sheltered gardens between the buildings provide amenity space.
The retail units are on the smaller pier, contained beneath a sweeping oversailing roof with west facing terraces overlooking the basin.
A new footbridge links the new retail area with the existing facilities.
