Business Training Centre

The client, an international, world leader in business training facilities commissioned Hamiltons to design a specialist business training facility at Heathrow Airport. . The scheme was to provide an intensive, high quality, easily accessible learning environment for international corporate users supported by 400 residential rooms and leisure facilities. The first International Business Training Centre in Europe.

The form of the building was designed to minimise visual impact on its green belt site and perimeter but still accommodate 45,000 m2 of flow space. An internal structure ordered the plan and split the teaching from the sleeping accommodation. Low energy labyrinth ducts were utilised to cool the space.
